Sightings
Cuckoo (male and female) - both birds very active, the female produced her 'bubbling' call.
Linnet - 4 birds   Rook
Willow Warbler Pheasant Red Grouse
Stonechat - two pairs .   Greenfinch - 4
Whinchat - a pair.   Wrens - everywhere
Reed Bunting   Oystercatcher - 3
Common Sandpiper ( a pair on each reservoir) .
Greylag Goose - 13 birds on the Upper reservoir, 16 on the Lower reservoir.
Canada Goose -86 birds on the Upper reservoir, 25 on the Lower reservoir
Lapwing - 2 birds Swallow  House Martin
Mistle Thrush - breeding pair
Red-legged Partridge  
Curlew Chaffinch Goldfinch
Grey Wagtail - at Upper Barden 
Black-headed Gull - colony of approximately 2000 birds at Upper Barden Reservoir.
Lesser Black-backed Gull - four birds at Upper Barden Res.
Blackbird Robin Dunnock
Red Kite - mobbed by a Lapwing.
Cormorant - Lower Barden Reservoir.
Meadow Pipit - everywhere and breeding.
Pied Wagtail - at Upper Barden Reservoir.
Skylark - singing birds .

The Black-headed Gull colony at Upper Barden, consists of over 2000 breeding birds. Here is a second smaller colony to the east of the main group, June 2007.
