A group of twelve members led by Shaun Radcliffe toured the area of Glovershaw, Sconce and Weecher

Sightings
Lapwings - Up to 15 pairs are breeding at around Golcar Farm.
Stock Dove - 3 birds   Starling - flocks in the fields around Golcar
Carrion Crow Jackdaw Mallard - a pair on moorland edge
Wheatear - 4 birds near the Golf Course and Glovershaw and 6 birds on the walls along Birch Close Lane.  
Snipe - at least two pairs, possibly three pairs are breeding at Glovershaw. The group watched the display flight of two male birds.  
Curlew - four pairs are breeding in the area.  
Golden Plover - A flock of 20 birds was on the ground near Golcar Farm and a smaller flock of 16 flew over towards Weecher Reservoir.
Greylag Goose - A pair have taken up residence on the rough pasture by Golcar Farm.
Grey Wagtail - a bird flew across the fields by Weecher Reservoir
Robin Blue Tit Great Tit Greenfinch
Coal Tit - a couple of birds by Faweather Green
Pied Wagtails - birds seen around the farmyard at Faweather Green  
House Sparrow - birds seen at the communities around Faweather Green and Birch Close Lane
Chaffinch Pheasant Wood Pigeon Collard Dove
Yellowhammer - Two pairs near Sconce Lane
Stonechat - a pair of birds on the bracken by Sconce
Oystercatcher - a pair of birds feeding in the fields by Birch Close
Blackbird Dunnock Wren Goldfinch
Swallow - now returned to the farms Magpie
Willow Warbler - at least 20 birds heard/seen singing from bracken, hedges and small trees.
Skylark - birds singing over the Golf Course and moorland fringes
Meadow Pipit - calling, displaying and chasing behaviour seen.
Reed Bunting - birds establishing breeding territory
Linnet - eight birds seen in pairs and small parties.
