| This
water lies close to Dick Hudsons pub in the East Morton direction.
It is usually high in water and does not attract many birds. Species
recorded are Canada Goose, Cormorant, Mallard, Goosander, Tufted
Duck and Great Crested Grebe, the latter outside of breeding. Greenshank
has been recorded and also Grasshopper Warbler in the newly planted
wood that part surrounds the reservoir. Birds such as Curlew, Lapwing
and Golden Plover may be flying close by from the moors. |
