Weecher encomposes the area around the reservoir, and the adjoining fields and tracks towards Faweather Grange on the edge of Sconce, and the training area for race-horses. It's always worth checking this location at all times, Yellowhammers congregate on the triangle of ground by Birch Close Farm before they disperse to their breeding area on the nearby moorland. Flocks of Golden Plover use the fields in winter and spring and an occasional Short-eared Owl can often be seen hunting over the ditches and scrub.
